Justine at the Sultan's Palace

Justine is groomed for the sultan's harem. He likes vampires but there is a reason!  Find out what it is.

Here is an excerpt:

"The sultan looked pleased. “I do have a request, although your name is beautiful, I should be greatly pleased if you would accept another name; one that is more suitable to you. I wish you to take this name willingly and in the spirit it is suggested. From now on I wish you to be known as Lela, which means ‘born at night.’

I began to cry. I didn’t wish to give up my name. It was silly of me being what I was. Yet, my name was the only thing I retained from my living life. To relinquish it was difficult.

Sabba caught my eye and I saw he wished me to obey. “Very well, I said, bowing before the young ruler. “I am Lela from this moment on…”

“Good. And now I will give you something.”

I didn’t expect him to go to the balcony. When he returned, he was carrying a white flower. “This is a lotus for you. The white is for the purity of my friendship.” He put it in my hair. “Tomorrow I will give you a red lotus for it will symbolize the passion we will share…for tonight you will be mine to do with as I wish.”

I didn’t know how I felt at first, although I did not betray my emotions. Gascoyne was gone—of that I was certain. I would always belong to him; there was a bond that would never come apart. Not one piece of my love would be diminished. I decided to turn myself off. Yes, I would go along with the sultan. I didn’t wish for Ramet to be punished. I felt certain Sabba could easily take out his frustration on him.

You have no heart anyway, Justine—I thought. So it will not be difficult. It will just be tolerated. Could I do it? I was certain I could.

READ FIRST CHAPTER FOR FREE. MEET FRED DOGER AND HIS CIRCUS OF HORRORS!

Fred Dodger's Circus has fallen on hard times. They had to split from their last engagement. Yup, another murder. But there are reasons...Actually they're sideshow performers. But they're also badly damaged and vulnerable people. That's what makes them the killers they are.
Here's the first chapter:

ADULT HORROR/GRAPHIC VIOLENCE/CANNIBALISM

"The vehicle was a beat up well-travelled 1929 Ford school bus. It had been painted a bright red and said ‘Fred Dodger’s Circus’ on the side. Amid peeling paint, the image of ecstatic clowns was a bit pathetic looking. Curtains hung on each of the windows. Baby Alice had sewn them; now she sat outside with her pals waiting for the meat to be cooked.

An old man, somewhat senile in appearance and actions, sat licking his lips. His son, the owner/manager, had gone to town on business in his pickup.

The bus had withstood a lot of wear and tear. Well, it would have—what with three clowns, two midgets, and one fat lady riding it.

Al drove the bus. With him being three feet tall, there were adaptions to the driver’s seat. This, the manager had seen to and Al was pleased. His lady friend, the huge Baby Alice, sat near him. Her seat had also been adapted in order to accommodate her girth.

None of the troupe disliked riding in the bus or camping out in tents. The weather occasionally made it difficult for them, though. Once, near Tupelo, Mississippi, the bus had to be dragged out by the pickup. The manager had extensive experience in such matters and everyone was grateful he did.

Fred Dodger loved his people and looked after them very well, and they knew it. He had explained about leaving them to go to town in order to get some money. They said fine and decided to have a cook out.

FRED & SOME ACCOMMODATING LADIES

ADULT MATERIAL:

Joe takes Fred out for a special treat. It's a house he knows with some real accommodating ladies.

"Smithville wasn’t far. It was what they used to call a one horse town. Now it had been reduced to a dilapidated crap town with only one thriving industry: the local whore house.

“Guys come from all over. It’s got a good reputation, I know! The girls are past it but the madam keeps them clean. She insists.”

The house stood near the river. Lit up like a Christmas tree. “They got everything; girls for every sort of inclination, if you know what I mean.”

The madam, a big, blousy orange-haired woman did know Joe. She looked delighted to see him. “Where you been, stranger?”

Joe patted her ass. “Back now, baby! Whatcha you got for us?”

“Depends on what you can pay for, my love. No freebies.”

“Even for old times’ sake?"

The madam nodded. “Sorry.”

Joe winked, reached into his pocket, and handed her a twenty. “My treat,” he told Fred.

That did it. She asked them to both follow her up the stairs. “I got two girls I can recommend. Daisy for you because she likes lollipops and Lucinda for you, handsome, because she likes it any way you want to give it to her.”

Fred was in heaven, or at least he thought he was."

"Riveting. Imaginative. Chilling. Fantastical."

"Wonderful horror with a side order of ribs."

"Never going to the circus again!"

"True horror!"

"The circus you really don't want to join."
